The Utah Mining Association is proud to present Safety Awards to 17 member operations for demonstrating outstanding safety performance during the previous calendar year. The awards were presented during the 6th Annual Mining & Manufacturing Safety Conference in April. As noted, 2016 was the safest year on record in the mining industry, so the fact that we were able to present Safety Awards to 17 member operations is a testament to the culture of safety in Utah.
