The UMA has represented Utah industry by promoting legislation that may be beneficial and fighting against legislation that is not. Fabrication of compressor & blower packages that reduce the cost of installation for customers became a focus. In addition to providing standard equipment to be installed by the customer, CPS designs and builds Compressed Air, Blower & Vacuum packages that allow industrial and mining customers to dramatically reduce the cost of installing compressed air and blower systems. These are plug and play systems where the customer provides power and connections from the discharge to their plant. CPS worked with coal mines in Utah and Colorado to develop a portable methane engine-driven borehole exhauster that would remove methane from the mine ahead of the mining operation, making it safe for the miners. The units are started on propane and then themethane exhausted from the mine powers the engine. X VERNAL MINE What does it mean to be sustainable?
